There are quite a few Goans among us here in Kuwait who have done very well for themselves, are well placed at work, in society, bright, trustworthy and capable, but have chosen to do work that is largely behind the scenes and I believe they are better off for that choice.

Once such person is our good friend Leo Fernandes, a managing committee member of Goan Overseas Association (Goa Maroons) who bids goodbye to Kuwait today to settle back in Goa after 38 glorious years in Kuwait. Quiet, unassuming, family oriented, helpful and forever smiling , Leo worked in a managerial position at National Bank of Kuwait and now returns to Goa to join his wife Josephine in Nagoa.
